Terms of Service

Plain and short. By connecting your Twitch account and using the service, you agree to the following.

The service

AoE2 Overlay is a streaming overlay and chat-bot tool. You connect your Twitch account to run alerts and the bot on your own channel. We request read-only Twitch permissions only — see the Privacy & Data page for exactly what we access.

Acceptable use

• Use the service on channels you own or are authorized to operate.
• Don’t use it to harass others, infringe rights, or break Twitch’s Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
• Don’t attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the service or its infrastructure.
• Keep your control key private — it’s the write secret for your overlay. The overlay key is read-only and safe to share with OBS.

Pro plan & billing

• The core overlay, alerts, taunts, and commands are free. Pro ($5 USD/mo) adds the AI chat bot and channel-point taunts.
• Pro is a recurring subscription billed through PayPal. You can cancel anytime with the “Cancel subscription” button in Studio (or from your PayPal account); your Pro access continues until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
• Prices may change with notice; changes never apply to a period you’ve already paid for.

Your account & data

You can disconnect and permanently delete your account and data at any time from Studio (“Disconnect & delete my data”) or by revoking access in Twitch settings. We may suspend or remove accounts that abuse the service or violate these terms.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is,” without warranties. It depends on third parties (Twitch, PayPal, hosting providers) and may have downtime. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Twitch or Microsoft / Age of Empires; those names and marks belong to their owners.
